Dr. Julie Denstedt told her parents at the age of 5 that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She always had pets growing up, and as soon as she turned 13, Julie started volunteering at veterinary clinics in order to pursue her goal! She continued to work at veterinary clinics throughout high school, as well as during her undergraduate degree, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph.
Dr. Denstedt went on to complete her DVM degree at the University of Melbourne, Australia. During her time in Australia, she gained a further passion for providing high quality small animal medicine. Upon graduation in December 2017, Dr. Denstedt had developed particular interests in internal medicine, preventative medicine and dermatology.
Originally from Caledon, Ontario, Dr. Denstedt is currently enjoying life in the city. Dr. Denstedt’s family has one dog – Tucker – their (amazingly!) 17 year young poodle mix! In her spare time Dr. Denstedt enjoys spending time at the beach or pool, settling into a great book, and checking out new places to eat!
