Leigh has an honours bachelor’s degree in health science and biology, with a heavy focus on animal biology and physiology in her studies. Her goal is to become a veterinarian and attend the Ontario Veterinary College. She has previously worked in small animal and equine veterinary medicine as well as on a farm breeding micro-pigs and miniature horses. Leigh has been a lifelong pet owner and lover of all animals. She currently has a miniature phantom poodle named Tucker, a teacup chihuahua named Kikai, and a Mali Uromastyx named Buddy. In the past she has owned many other pets including birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, and a micro-pig. Her hobbies include skiing, swimming, hiking, and reading.
